I hear the sound of Footsteps (English written and spoken)
I hear the Sound of Footsteps
Early in the morning on the 1st of September I went with my brother and father for hunting moose, a big animal in Northern Europe and North America.
To hunt for Moose is really exciting. The first Moose that my younger brother shot was a huge one, it weighed about 700 kg. The Moose came running through the forest, powerful steps and a lot of noise, and he saw the big and impressive horns of the Moose, and understood that it was big, and he thought: how am I going to hit it when my heart is pounding like this? Then the Moose reached the road and standing in front of my brother, maybe only 40 meters, and so big, my brother thought: how could I possibly miss it? And he didn’t miss it!
The Moose is called “the king of the forest”, and it really is, it’s a mighty and powerful animal, very impressive and beautiful with big horns. But no matter how beautiful or powerful it is, and how majestic and impressive it is when it comes walking, no matter how beautiful it is or how much your heart starts pounding when you hear it coming, it can not be compared with the King of kings, the Lord Jesus Christ.
When Jesus Christ comes walking, you stand there amazed, speechless, just beholding His Glory and Majesty. And when you hear the Sound of the Footsteps of the Lord Jesus Christ, your heart starts pounding, with both heavenly joy, and with the fear of God.
A few times I have been given the grace to come very close to Jesus, Jesus has been walking close to me, and then I have felt “this is a King coming”, a King who can’t be compared with other kings, and I just wanted to fall to the ground and give Him the glory saying: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts. Jesus Christ is a King, but a King full of grace and truth.
And Jesus is about to come back. As believers in Christ, we can already now hear His Footsteps, we see and feel that His Coming is close. I was on a mission trip to Kenya 2019, and my companion Liliane Jakobsson received a Word from the Lord. The Lord said: I hear the Sound of Footsteps. Be ready to be raptured into the sky, to meet Me.
I don’t know when Jesus Christ comes back, but I know that it’s close. The apostle Paul wrote two thousand years ago that the Coming of Jesus Christ was near, the day was approaching, so how much more isn’t that true today? But only God the Father knows the day and time.
But we see all the signs of His Coming, we hear Him Coming, and I will tell you about one time when I have heard the Sound of Jesus’s Footsteps. It was in the summer of 2006, I was only two months old in Christ, a new born baby, and something had happened so I was rather scared.
(X) My mother sighed a short prayer to the Lord and He said: I will bring his mind to rest!
I laid down sleeping. In the summer where I live it’s daylight all around the clock, you can see almost perfectly in the middle of the night. At about midnight I woke up, and I felt: what a joy in my heart! I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn’t. An hour later I was even more filled with joy, and fifteen minutes later my heart was overflowing with heavenly, unspeakable joy.
Then I heard Footsteps on the outside, very heavy and powerful, donk, donk, donk, it was like someone with great authority and confidence came walking. I thought: who is out there? it sounds like a man but It’s in the middle of the night? Is it an animal?
I rose from my bed and walked to the window and looked out. And I thought: Strange, there is no one there? Then all of a sudden the CD-player, which was five meters to the left of me, started to play, all by itself, songs of praise about Jesus.
And instantly I felt: it’s Jesus! He is standing there and He has turned on the CD-player! I was filled with such a Holy fear of God, and I felt such an incredible Majesty, Power and Holiness about Jesus, and I thought: Jesus, He is a King! He Is the Lord our God, and I just wanted to fall to the ground and cry out: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts.
I walked back to my bed, my mind and soul in perfect peace, still that joy inside of my heart, and even though I was so filled with Holy fear of God, I also felt so secure, so safe, so loved, so embraced and surrounded by the love and grace of Jesus Christ so I felt: nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing can hurt me!
It is one of the most wonderful and powerful experiences of Jesus Christ that I’ve been given by the grace of God.
My beloved brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ is Coming! We see the Signs of His Coming and we can hear His Footsteps. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! He is Coming and this time He will not come as the Lamb, this time He is Coming as the Lion of Judah. Jesus is called the Lion and the Lamb. John the Baptist said: behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. The first time Jesus came outwardly looking like an ordinary man, to be sacrificed for our sins as the Lamb of God. He looked helpless and forsaken by God, even though He still was the Son of God.
But This time Jesus is Coming as the Lion of Judah, as the Son of God, in all power, authority, in all of His Glory and Majesty. Hallelujah! Now He comes as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! In Revelations The apostle John starts weeping when no one is worthy to open the scroll, the book, but he is told: don’t weep, behold, the Lion of Judah has prevailed to open the scroll. (Revelations 5:1-5).
Jesus comes back as a Lion. And this time He comes to deliver His people! This time He comes victorious and to give us the victory! Hallelujah! Yes, we have victory in Christ already now, but we don’t see it fully, because we are still ridiculed, persecuted and some people are also killed for His Namesake.
Today we oftentimes look like Jesus did on the cross the first time He came, in the eyes of this world: poor, helpless, forsaken by God, ridiculed, persecuted, of no value and no importance for this world. I know that many beloved brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ in Pakistan are persecuted and under hard labor, and that other people are oppressing you. While the mighty people of this world, like the Talibans, ISIS, president Vladimir Putin of Russia, they look strong, important and fearsome, and they might push you aside or even kill us, but that’s going to change soon!
Because when Jesus Christ appears, it will all change in the twinkling of an eye. 1 Corinthians 15:51 says: behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. All of a sudden, we stand victorious, and they will be put to shame.
A pastor in Sweden once said: some people say that when Jesus comes back, I will go and give Him a hug. But The pastor said: Forget about that, we will be on our knees, prostrate on our faces in the Holy Fear of God! I believe that he was right. Remember the apostle John on the isle of Patmos. Jesus Christ appeared to him, in Glory and Majesty, and John says: when I saw Him, I fell at His Feet as dead! That’s an apostle, he has walked with Jesus for three years on earth, he has served Jesus as His apostle for many years after His resurrection, he knows that he is loved and chosen by Christ, still, when he sees Him in His Glory, he falls down to His Feet, as dead. So if John reacted like that, I believe that we will too!
And if we, who are called friends, children and brothers of Jesus Christ, will react like that, how will His enemies react? David Wilkerson, a great man of God from USA, once said: there is no way to describe the fear and terror that will come into the hearts of the enemies of Christ at His Coming. Revelations says that the great men, the rich men, the kings of the earth, they hid in caves and said to the mountains: fall on us and hide us from the Face of Him who sits on the Throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
This time Jesus Comes as a Savior for His children, but as a Holy Judge for those who don’t belong to Him. In Sweden and the Western World today we seldom speak about sin and the wrath of God, and that’s sad, because it’s a reality, and it will come upon those who don’t repent. That’s why we choose to forgive and pray for our enemies, those who hurt us and persecute us, because we don’t want that to happen to anyone! We want everyone to be saved, even those who hurt us. So We say like Jesus on the cross: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!
The Coming of Jesus Christ is A moment of terror for His enemies, but for us, who belong to Jesus, who are His beloved children, to us it’s a moment of an incredible grace, joy and victory. Because now we will see and celebrate the wonderful victory in full! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! It’s written: blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Jesus wants us to be happy and rejoice over His Coming. Revelations says: hallelujah, for the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him Glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His Wife has made herself ready.
To us, the Coming of Jesus Christ is a wonderful hope, a promise that will be fulfilled, and we can rejoice over it, that we will see and meet Jesus Christ. 1 Peter says that we love Jesus, whom we have not seen, and though e haven’t seen Him, yet we believe, we rejoice over Him in with joy unspeakable and full of glory, for we are receiving the goal of our faith, the salvation of our souls.
I love the church of Pakistan so much! Encouragement!
We are close to enter Heaven for Eternity, because Jesus Christ is about to come back. So Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, let’s stand firm in Christ and rejoice in the promise of His Coming. Amen.
