A child of God

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive Him. 12 Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

These verses say that all who receive Jesus will be given the grace and the right to become children of God. So What does it mean to be a child of God? And how do you become a child of God?

Everything about being a child of God is based upon what Jesus Christ did for everyone that is here today, for you and me, on the cross of Calvary. I will tell you shortly about the life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was a real person that walked on this earth in what today is Israel, two thousand years ago. He was a man, just like you and I, He was happy, sad, tired, hungry. But the Bible says that Jesus was more than a man, it says that Jesus was the Son of God. That’s amazing words, but that’s what Jesus Himself said.

Jesus spoke amazing words here on earth, words that still change peoples lives today. Jesus did what was good, spread His love, spoke the truth, defended the weak, healed the sick, was just and fair. But at the end of His life He went to the cross. the Bible says that on the cross Jesus took all the sins of the world upon His Shoulders. Jesus suffered immensely. He suffered more than any other person ever has done and ever will do.

Jesus died for all of my sins and all of your sins. You can be made totally clean, be totally forgiven. Every lie, every bad thought, every hard word, all of it Jesus has already paid the price for on the cross. You can be totally clean.

But death was not the end for Jesus. Jesus was buried, and was dead for three days. But after three days Jesus rose from the dead. Many, many people have seen Jesus alive with their own eyes. I also know that this is true. Jesus is alive. I have also seen Jesus with my own eyes, I know that Jesus lives.

But Jesus Himself was absolutely free from sin. Jesus had never lied, never stolen anything, Jesus was pure. So why did He have to die? Because Jesus knew: Konrad, there is no other way to take your sins away from you. There is no other way to give you Eternal life with Me in Heaven.

Imagine what a grace to be called a child of God!

So Konrad, I do this for you. I do this out of an indescribable love for you, I give My life of free will, so that I can give you, if you receive Me and believe in Me, forgiveness for all of your sins and I also give you Eternal life in Heaven. You don’t have to do anything, Konrad. Just believe in Me!

And the same thing Jesus says to you. Jesus says to you: I go to the cross for you! I love you and I give My life for you. You can be cleansed, forgiven, given a new life here on earth, and Eternal life in Heaven. You can become a child of God.

So, How do I become a child of God? Almost all people think that if I do good things, give money to the poor, if I am kind, then I will be a child of God and God will love me. But Jesus says no, it will not make you a child of God. No, Jesus says come to Me, receive Me, believe in Me, and I will receive you as My beloved child. All you have to do is to pray and ask Jesus come into your life.

But is it wrong to do good things? Should a Christian not give help to the poor, be kind and love all people? Yes! Yes, absolutely! But when Jesus lives inside of you, you will do it because you are so happy and grateful that Jesus has given you a new life, that He loves you. You will do it because Jesus loves you, out of free will.

What happens when you become a child of God? First of all you are born again, you are given a new life, a new heart, a new mind, a new will, that comes from Jesus. You will be made more like Jesus Christ.

In my old life my name was Konrad, and I am still Konrad. But there is a change. I am not who I used to be. Jesus lives inside of me and His life is flowing inside of me like rivers of living water. Jesus fills my heart with His joy, love and peace every day.

And when I am sad, Jesus is by my side and dries my tears and gives me new hope. When I am weak, He takes me upon His Almighty Shoulders and carries me. Jesus helps me every day.

When you are a child of God you can also hear Jesus speak in your heart and say: My child. …

The message about Jesus Christ is called the gospel. Gospel means good news. So what are the good news? The good news are that your sins are forgiven by God. You can be free from the guilt and burden of sin. Sin is a burden, a yoke that everyone carries and when Jesus lifts that burden off, you are free.

But the most important thing about being a child of God is not about this life. The Bible says that: For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus has promised every one who receives Him and believes in Him Eternal life in Heaven.

Heaven is like nothing that we can imagine. In Heaven there will be only dancing, singing, joy that is unspeakable and amazing love and it will last forever. There we will never again cry, we will never even be tired, we will never die.

I believe with all my heart that we will recognize each other in Heaven. And I hope that all people that are today will see each other again in Heaven. Then we can rejoice and say: Bishnu, are you here? Good to see you again! And we will embrace each other, sing and dance, and our faces and eyes will shine with the glory of Jesus Christ. Our faces will shine with joy and happiness. And it will never end.

Everyone who has heard me today can one day be in Heaven. The way to Heaven is open. And Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. You just receive Jesus and Eternal life as a choice of free will.

I want everyone who is here today to be in Heaven, and Jesus wants that even more. Jesus gave His own life on the cross to give you Eternal life in Heaven. Don’t miss Heaven. Amen.
