A faithful servant version no 2

Turn to Mathew 25:14-30.

Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,a each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.17So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

19“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

21“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Talents?

My life: things entrusted to me. Take good care of them.

In your lives: kids, job: try to make them grow!

A faithful servant

A faithful servant should be listening

Listening ear: what would You have me do?

Do what He tells you or leads you to, but not more.

The world: always busy. Not in the Kingdom of God.

Marta and Mary

Jesus listened to the Father. Did nothing by Himself, but only what the Father showed Him to do. Jesus did the will of His Father. Try not to go beyond that.

Carter Conlon

What the Lord gives you to do: Do it with all your heart. Be persevere. Don’t give up!

A good and faithful servant loves His Master

Bonhoeffer

In Swedish Jesus said: he who loves Me listens to My Words

Ask, and it shall be given! The little time that you have: give it to God and listen to His Word

We read Luke 12:35-38.

35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning,36like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. 37It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. 38It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the middle of the night or toward daybreak.

Waiting for His return. Looks at the sky.

I hope that when that day comes we should all be ready.
